Program Overview

The Pharmacy Bridging Program at Paramount Polytechnic in Oyen, Alberta, is a rigorous 1-year certificate program tailored for International Pharmacy Graduates (IPGs). This program is designed to bridge the gap between your international pharmacy education and the competencies required to practice in Canada.

Through a blend of theoretical instruction, practical training, and exam preparation, you’ll acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to:

• Understand and navigate Canadian pharmacy laws and regulations
• Enhance clinical competencies aligned with Canadian standards
• Develop effective communication skills for diverse healthcare settings
• Prepare for the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Evaluating and Qualifying Examinations

Admission Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution outside Canada
• Successful PEBC Document Evaluation
• IELTS Academic: 7.0 overall, no section below 6.5 OR TOEFL iBT: 92 overall, no section below 23
• Updated resume/CV
• Statement of intent
• Two professional references
• Proof of immunizations (as per Alberta Health guidelines)

Tuition and Fees

Program Tuition: $16,500 CAD (Includes books & materials)
Application Fee: $170 CAD (Non-refundable)
Additional Costs:
• PEBC Exam Fees (Evaluating and Qualifying Exams)
• Personal expenses such as accommodation and transport
*Housing is not included in tuition

Application Process

• Complete the online application
• Submit transcripts, PEBC results, and English proficiency proof
• Attend an interview (in-person or virtual)
• Receive admission offer and confirm with deposit payment
